    Hi everyone!

I hope that 2019 is treating you well so far. It’s crazy to think that the first month of the year is almost over, although at least for me it feels like it has been dragging. 2019 is bound to be an exciting year for The Sims on PC and Mobile, and this year I set myself a new years resolution for the first time.

The goal this year is simple: to do more of the things that I enjoy doing. The number one thing I have enjoyed doing since 2011 is BeyondSims – I love writing things here, sharing news, reviews, and managing this site, and for too long I haven’t made enough time for me to enjoy doing that.

Kickstarting that new years resolution, the site has had a complete rebrand! A brand new design, which hasn’t been updated since August 2017, with a real focus on content. It makes it easy to find all of the latest news for The Sims 4, The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile. In addition to that, it makes it easier to find older content in our archives too. One of the key things here is making sure the content is accessible but also fast – so I am working behind the scenes on a lot of optimisation tasks to speed up how quickly pages load etc, hopefully you’ll start to notice the improvements!

Secondly, you may remember if you are a long-time reader that we used to have a small team of contributors at BeyondSims who would write news and share content they found interesting relating to The Sims/SimCity/Maxis. Well, I am looking to launch a new team like this to really promote the Simming community and all of the awesome content out there! If you’re interested, drop me a line on our contact form and I will get in touch with more information.

I’m looking forward to the journey that BeyondSims is on for 2019, as I have so many ideas to bring more content to this website that started it all, but also newer content areas such as YouTube, with the community at the heart of it all.

Stay tuned and, as always, thanks for all of your support. I truly appreciate every one of you who follow the website, read news and interact with me on social media!

    Here’s to 2019!
