Hello you guys, today I am going to be teaching you how to make clayifed hairs. If you are a more Maxis Match person and your not really into Alpha hairs this will be really helpful to you. First of all you are going to need the following:
    -Sims 4 Studio
    -2D Editor (photoshop)
    -Hair Actions

    -Ddeathflowers Maxis Hair Textures
Please note that you will not be learning how to use any of the following.
    Okay, lets get started:
    1. You are going to need to find a hair you want to clayify (must be an Alpha hair) I am going to be using Stealthic Heaventide Hair. You want to be that in your Mods folder for the Sims 4, Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims4/Mods and you also want to put it in the Mods folder for The Sims 4 Studio to get to that you go to, Documents/Sims4Studio/Mods
Capture1.PNG 2. Now you want to open the Sims 4 Studio, go to Create CAS Standalone. When the screen is done loading go to "CC Only" find the hair you downloaded.
    3. Name your .package file
    Capture1.PNG
    4. Now Export your texture and open it in a 2D Editor, I'm using Photoshop CS2 which was a free download.
    5. When your texture loads you want to go to Channels and go to the Alpha Layer.

    6. Now take the Wand Tool and click on the black, then go to Select and then Inverse and that will then select all of the hair. Also, don't worry about filling in the scalp you won't see it in game.
    7. Grab the paintbrush tool and fill in the hair with white.
    8. Now if there are any lines that are black in your hair fill them in with white. Also, don't erase any of the hair because when you put it in the Sims 4 Studio it was have white lines in the hair.

    9. When you done with that Save your texture as a DDS.
    10. This is extremely important make sure you save it as a DXT 5 or it will not work when you go in a Import it into Sims 4 Studio.
    Capture1.PNG
    11. Import your texture into the Sims 4 Studio. How does it look? Are most of the kinda orangey lines gone on your hair. If not go and fill in more of the texture in with white. Also, check to make sure there are no white lines in your hair.

If you like your hair how it is move on to the next step. Also, you can't make an Aplha Hair 100% clayifed it can just look that way. Just keep that in mind when you are clayifying. Just getting a little bit of the orangey lines makes a big difference trust me.

    RE-TEXTURING
The steps to texturing hair is not that difficult, just follow the steps and it should be easy.
    12. Open the Dirty Blonde texture from Ddeathflower's Maxis Textures (we are going to use Dirty blonde because it is the easier to re-texture.) It should look something like this:
    Capture1.PNG
    13. Now you want to get the Magic Wand and hold down SHIFT and make sure all of the texture is selected then do CTRL+ C (this will copy the texture)
    14. In Channels go to the RGB and un-see the Alpha layer. Capture1.PNG
    15. Now paste the Maxis Texture into a new layer. CTRL+V (to paste)
    16. Now you want to size the texture the size of the hair, and if you don't understand I will show you what I mean. (Use CTRL+T to free transform)

    Capture1.PNG
    17. Do that until all of the hair is covered. Make sure that nothing is over lapping anything else because that will make the hair look weird.
    18. When you are done. Save it as a DDS file with the DXT 5 clicked.
    19. Since I like to check things, import your new texture into Sims 4 Studio. Make sure there isn't anything off about the hair. If it looks good go on to the next step. Capture1.PNG
    20. Now we are going to re-color the new hair texture with hair color action. I am going to be using Pooklet's color action for this one. If you don't have the actions table in your photoshop yet this is how you get it. Go to Windows and there should be something called Actions click it or you could just use ALT+F9. You should see a table appear.
    Capture1.PNG
    21. Click on the "Play" button at the top. And click Load Actions. Since I already have the Pooklet textures in I'm going to start showing you how to re-color these.
    21. Then you want to click on the hair color you want and at the bottom should be another play button click that and it should change the hair color. Capture1.PNG Capture1.PNG
Also, again don't worry about the sculpt part you will never see it in game. Then when you are done save as a DDS with the DXT 5 and import into Sims 4 Studio.
**NOTE** Once you re-color the hair you can not keep on adding color to it you need to open the texture with the dirty blonde on it.
Now I'm going to go into game and show you how it turned out, and don't be afraid to ask question if you are lost. And also I want to see your clayifed hair too!
