The Sims Mobile team has announced their final update and that the game will be closing down permanently on January 20th 2026. Following its release in 2017, The Sims Mobile was positioned to be a new and exciting Sims game offering a Sims 4 like experience. Despite the official post saying 7 years, the game actually soft launched in 2017 and has evolved into a very different game than what it was originally at launch. The final update will allow players to have one last chance to experience everything the game has to offer, and in-app purchases have been disabled. From October 21st 2025, the game will no longer be possible to download for new players on the app stores. The Sims Mobile provided this website with many opportunities too – so its sad to see it go. We were invited to Gamescom in 2017 to experience the game and provide feedback to producers, and we were invited to EA Play in LA in 2017 for the same. It was an honour to see the game progress and provide player feedback. Until then, this is another game that will be lost to the abyss and is a shame it can’t be kept online for people to enjoy.
