By the watcher, can you believe it? The Sims Medieval, which was a standalone medieval-themed spin-off using The Sims 3 engine, was released on the 22nd March 2011. Believe it or not, that was ten years ago today! The Sims Medieval took your Sims back in time and allowed them to experiene life in the medieval ages and offered new features such as armed combat, religion, quest gameplay and enhancements to the game engine. Whether you enjoyed ruling the kingdom as the monarch, or spent most of your time at the tavern as the bard, this title was a strong spin-off title and it’s a shame we haven’t seen more themes explored as spin-offs since. It even spawned its own expansion pack (titled Adventure Pack) – Pirates & Nobles! If you have never been able to experience The Sims Medieval, it is still available to purchase on Origin. Unfortunately the Mac version is not compatible with newer versions of MacOS that do not support 32-bit applications. What are your favourite memories of The Sims Medieval?
