October 18th has arrived and The Sims 4 base game is now officially FREE TO PLAY! You can grab the FULL base game, on any platform, without charge from today. Now is the perfect time to be able to get your friends, families, neighbours, and whoever else you stumble across to play The Sims! As always, additional content such as expansion packs will still cost money, but now that The Sims 4 base game is 8+ years old, it’s truly come a long way from when we initially reviewed it back in September 2014. Some of the things the base game now has – but didn’t at launch – includes ghosts, pools, toddlers, terrain tools, and pronouns.
