The Sims on Console was released in 2002, bringing The Sims to platforms such as the Playstation 2 and GameCube for the first time. It was also the first time that The Sims was ever rendered in 3D, as opposed to the 2D Isometric view on the PC game.

Despite some changes being made to allow the game to run on consoles, such as single story buildings and object limitations, there are actually quite a lot of similarities in terms of the gameplay itself, features and objects available. The only major difference is the fact that it is being rendered in 3D and the addition of the “Get a Life” story mode.

If you’re a fan of the original Sims games on PC and console, and want a bit of a nerdy deep dive, I really recommend reading this blog post over on their website!
