To quote a great man: Innovation is the key to success and when it comes to creating custom content (video, streams, and resources) I have no doubt that others would agree with me when I say blogs and legacies are a major factor of The Sims community! I feel that adding a system such as the stream/video that allows creators from the community anywhere to pool together and show their legacies all in one handy directory would be extremely useful! Like I mentioned for the video addition to the site, I've always had trouble finding content that I could follow. The same goes with legacies. I see the random Twitter or Tumblr here and there, but that leaves it to chance. Creators of blogs, legacies, stories, challenges, and even image creation should have a means of pooling together to enjoy each other's company without the concern of competing for attention. I think that the easiest way to accomplish this feat is to enable a submission system that allows story/content creators to post a summary, images, and links to their already established blogs, tumblrs, and websites. Tags could be added for NSFW, Legacy, Challenge Rules, ect and filters could be implemented. This way we are not only bringing everyone together in a single location, but we are allowing them their creative expression on sites they have already put blood, sweat, and tears on. I feel that it would be a useful tool for the community as a whole. Just an opinion and suggestion. I'd love to know how others feel about this idea.
+1 For this. As a streamer myself, interaction with your own fans while supporting the community in general and having a "expert player" modeling the game is a win for everyone including the devs.. The only thing I would worry about are the mods that would give full nudity and such. But notes and disclaimers would help with that.
I was thinking more like a directory. I don't know what's possible with the coding, you do. I know a lot of Simmers work hard on their original sites.
Yeah, it would be really nice to have an official directory of Sim stories and stuff. Be nice for there to be an ongoing, complete and not-updated in awhile section for them, too.
In the way of them adding news stories linking to the categories, linking to this place, advertising it a lot more than they do...
Please by all means feel free to contribute news stories, links, advertising and such. This is a community driven site. Team members have the ability to promote any thread into a front page story. A great example is George's mod. Even though it started off as a release, we promoted it to the front page and made it a news piece. http://simsworkshop.net/threads/the-sims-4-grocery-store-mod.656/
