Uuuuh, hello? Is this thing on? It’s been a while since I have posted anything on BeyondSims.com, and things have been quite sparse on my Twitter and Facebook pages too. I sincerely apologise for being missing in action and hope that you are all doing good! I am happy to say that things are starting to get back into motion now after being pre-occupied with a variety of things the last few months. During that time, I have come to the conclusion that I can no longer keep up-to-date with the latest Sims news nor be the first to post it anymore – and there’s many websites doing that much better than me. This is partly because of full time work – which I always thought would make things easier compared to when I was at university. I am also out a lot more now, spend time with friends and my boyfriend, and have part-time work as a freelance web designer. I think you can see why it was hard to post news and reviews quickly now! Therefore, as I shared on Twitter a few months ago, I am steering the direction of the site from latest news to being more focused on my personal Sims gameplay, whilst retaining some of the news (e.g. announcements) alongside reviews, the Llama Drama podcast, tutorials and more. So, in short, yes there will still be news but I won’t be able to keep up with it all. That will allow me to share everything I love about Sims and Maxis games without the pressure of keeping up to date with news as soon as it comes out, and falling behind with it. I found that as I fell behind with news, that I felt like I couldn’t post on the site, leading to longer gaps in the content I was sharing. But, with all this in mind, I am so excited for the future of this site as I share fun things and more going into the future! This will include reviews – as I want to share my honest thoughts about packs (keep an eye out for Tiny Living) and more! I appreciate all of your ongoing support and hope that you will continue to visit as we embark on this new journey and as I start to move the site in that direction. This site and your continued readership as provided me with so many opportunities to learn in the digital space, meet new people, host events, attend GameChanger events and more and it means the world.
