The modding community never fails to amaze me with the game-changing things they can create for The Sims series. All Sims games still have a very active modding community – and The Sims 3 is no exception there. Almost ten years after it’s original release, someone has had an amazing idea to create a mod that allows you to play The Sims 3 with your keyboard in third person mode! I guess you could think of this being a bit like Grand Theft Auto: Sunset Valley. We haven’t seen third person camera controls in The Sims games since The Sims 2 on consoles back in the day, so this is exciting to see! Once installed, the mod allows you to switch between the normal camera where you click to control the game, to a third person camera. You can then use the WASD keys on your keyboard to move, as well as the shift button if you want your Sim to run. You can even control cats, dogs, horses, toddlers and more! The Sim you are controlling will automatically know if they need to go up stairs or open a door too, it’s pretty amazing for a mod! TheSimSupply has created an awesome overview of this mod which shows it in action on his YouTube channel, which you can check out below. Alternatively, you can also download the mod RIGHT NOW on ModTheSims! Continue reading...
