Released in May 2003, The Sims Superstar allowed your Sims to rise to fame for the very first time! It was the sixth expansion pack for the original Sims game with the focus on your Sims becoming a celebrity – a theme we have seen re-used throughout future Sims generations. Sims in need of a day of indulgence and pampering could enjoy the new day spa, complete with mud treatments, steam baths, Sim massages and an oxygen bar. Domestic staff were also available for hire so manicured Sims wouldn’t chap their hands with the drudgeries of household maintenance! Source: The Sims Wiki The pack had representations of real celebrities, who you could meet in-game too. From Avril Lavigne, Christina Aguilera, Marilyn Monroe, Jon Bon Jovi and Freddie Prinze Jr. I believe the next celebrity to feature in Sims packs was Katy Perry, who had collaborations with the franchise for The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 (but let’s try to forget about Katy Perry Sweet Treats).
