I got a bit inspired by seeing people building houses all the time on Tumblr and decided to give it a go myself by looking at floor plans and then came up with this.
It's CC free and was built on a 30x20 lot.
You can either download it from the gallery, or from this page

If you download it via Simfileshare, unrar the file once it's downloaded, then place all the files into My Documents > The Sims 4 > Tray then just go into your gallery and it'll be ready and waiting for you.
