I have been wanting to make a "Sword In The Stone" type project for some time, and finally found this! I just liked the idea that the kids are the only ones with "the power' to remove the sword.

The pedestal is a lamp has a decor slot to hold the sword. I included both a sword facing up and one facing down. The sword is supposed to face down in the pedestal....but when the kid grabs it....he is holding the blade, so I also made the upward facing sword so kids can hold the handle. It is OK to keep both, or choose only one sword.
(I'm pretty sure the swords are made of child safe plastic. Adult supervision is recommended.)
