It's working but there is a problem. When they die of starvation their status don't turn them in to a ghost on relationship bar. It's like they're only leaving a household. You can't mourn or laugh at them at gravestone, which means they are not dead(ghost). You can even call them (Toddler) to hangout at Current lot.

I think this mod might also be causing pets to be able to die instead of being taken away. I accidentally killed Rosie via starvation (though her bowl was full). Also have the thing with not being able to mourn at grave/urn.
I don't change anything in the coding except adding the tags <E>CHILD</E> and <E>TODDLER</E> so anything dealing with pets dying I don't think would be this mod. If you notice your pets are hungry you can click the bowl and tell them to eat, unless you use the playable pets mod and then you can directly tell them to eat. I can look into it, but as I've said, I don't change anything that can make pets die.

would it be possible for your to fix it so child and toddler sims can get eaten by the cowplant? I had been using a mod to do it for a long time but one of the past couple patches to the game made it to where they just get sent out as townies instead of actually dying like i need them to do, I've tried other mods that was made to do the same thing but they also are out dated and unusable when i tried them.
At one point I had it in the mod where they could be eaten by the cow plant but they added in so many resources that deal with cow plants and changed the way the death works with them that I removed it. I currently have no plans to add it back in.
It's unfortunate to hear they have made such a mess of the cowplants, If i actually knew how to mod i'd actually try helping to get it working again though i already have trouble understanding any mod files i've looked through so it is unlikely i'd be able to get these new versions working.
Toddler can't die from from starvation in patch 2.6 but burning works fine. *I don't have Cat and Dog Expansion

since seasons will include new deaths (death by freezing and death by overheating) will you add it for the children for the mod?
Yes, I'll update it probably sometime this weekend again to include the new deaths. But waiting for S4S to update again with the Season coding since they just have the update for the patch. After they get Seasons EP, they'll update the program again to include the resources for everything in the EP and then I'll update again

Hey I'm having trouble with starving my child. (That sounded weird) But anyways whenever their hunger drops to 0 they pull out a chocolate bar instead of dying. Any ideas on why this happens? Also could you add electrocution back into the mod since their are other mods that can electrocute sims and children can use.
