Lately I've been working on this mesh nonstop. At first it started off with logical names such as "Top" and "Bottom". Then for a while the project was called "Scream" for obvious reasons! Finally I drank some green tea and made a folder named "Happy Place". Lol. Now I'm pleased to say that my mesh is finished and I can finally texture! (Only 62 deleted files later..) What have you been working on?
Oh, that looks neat! Can't wait to see it textured ^-^ Today I started a new project after a long while. I have not the slightest clue as for how to mesh, so all it is is a simple bunch of recolors. BUT it's turning out great (if I say so myself haha) Currently I'm looking for more color palettes to use, and if I have a decent amount I'll publish it. c:
@The Paper Sim That is beautiful! I love how matte the colors are compared to some others in the game. It feels bright, but not overstated. Very nice.
@KitOnlyHuman Thank you! I like matte colors somehow; prefer them over all the shiny things. Although, shiny things can look good of course. I think I just really love Maxis Match content. A quick little update... I accidentally created 18 different styles, so I think that would be a decent enough amount to publish. Now, to create some form of promotion pictures.. :')
@The Paper Sim I absolutely love those color choices. Yeah, I'm a huge maxis match fan too! I like the graphics of TS4 personally. Too much detail in textures tends to pop out too much in the world. An update on my project, I am actually doing the textures today. It's been a busy week. Hopefully releasing it before the 1st, or at least that's my goal. (I did start making the dress for my February avatar screenshot actually. Lol.) Update: Just closing in some gaps! Sneaky buggers. =D
@KitOnlyHuman Thank you, ColourLovers, for all those pretty palettes! ♥ That's what I really love about TS4, the distinctiveness. I think the kind of simplicity it has is amazing, makes it easier for the eye. Indeed, overly textured things tend to pop out and just do not fit in well. I'm loving the way your dress looks! A really nice pattern choice, works well. And good luck with the polishing - I have no clue as for how to fix stuff like that. :') I'm glad I can say my project is done! Published it, after spending way too long on creating the promo-pics. :') At least, it felt like a really long process.
@KitOnlyHuman Downloaded it! Didn't know it's your first mesh creation It looks like you've got the fair bit of experience, honestly! (I'll try my hand at sort of recoloring it, since that's about what I can do :') ) And thank you! I'm really proud of it! ♥
@The Paper Sim Yeah, it was. Lol. Never have meshed before but I wanted a specific dress for my Simself for my screenshots! So thanks to Mr. S, Sims 4 Studio forums, and lots of googling (and screaming cuz omg), I managed to figure most of my problems out! The mesh fully took a week to learn how to do. And it was really easy once I knew the tools and what to watch for. I'm proud of it even if it isn't perfect! =D
@KitOnlyHuman That's the mindset! 'I want it, so I make it.' I guess it'd be like learning to makes poses for ts3. It was extremely complicated at first, but when I got the hang of it... So maybe I should just try! (Though the screaming might not please my 'hood...) At any rate, I'm proud of you for making a first mesh that well! ^-^
wow, those are really nice :3 @KitOnlyHuman this is amazing for a first mesh! (oh, by the way, is this a thread for all WIPs or just yours?)
Feel free to make your own. There is presently no embargo or rules that says only one thread per subject.
@Hayny Make your own or post here, I don't mind either way! I love seeing WIP screenshots which is why I made the thread to share. =)
My graphics card decided to go kaput on me. Blender, Photoshop, and Sims 4 open all at the same time just was too much for my little Zotac. I finally got an upgrade and it'll be here tomorrow. Until then, a sneak preview...
It's starting to come together. Literally! Loving my new graphics card. =) And in game, testing the side seam for my texture. Looking good Babs!
Thank you for the responses! I think I'll post some WIPs here, then @KitOnlyHuman I love how amazing the texture is! I started something a while ago and I thought I could share it here:
My current WIP is a scarf from the Romantic Garden Stuff! Cutting it off the shirt and making it an accessory for male and hopefully females. Loving learning more and more about blender. =)
You're all so talented! Theese are wonderful wips I can't wait to see (and download **) them finished!
